About Us

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland (RSPCA) began in 1883 and is now the state’s oldest, largest and leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of all domestic, farmed and native animals throughout Queensland.

RSPCA Queensland relies on the community for 96% of our funding. Your support enables us to run the programs and services to support domestic and native animals in Queensland.

Last year, RSPCA Queensland cared for more than

42,000

vulnerable, injured and mistreated animals.

Our Wildlife Hospital admitted over

23,000

cases of sick or injured native animals in need.

RSPCA Queensland is the only charitable body responsible for investigating animal welfare complaints within Queensland, with the Inspectorate receiving

13,875

reports last year.
