About Us

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland (RSPCA) began in 1883 and is now the state’s oldest, largest and leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of all domestic, farmed and native animals throughout Queensland.

RSPCA Queensland is the only charitable body responsible for investigating and prosecuting cruelty cases within Queensland, with the Inspectorate receiving

over18,000

reports of cruelty last year.

With 11 animal care centres across Queensland.

and 52,000

animals in our care

RSPCA Queensland receives less than 4% government funding and relies on the generous community to enable us to run the programs and services to support domestic and native animals in Queensland.
