We are for celebrating our wedding, and in lieu of gifts on our special day we are asking for donations to one of our favourite charities, RSPCA QLD.
RSPCA QLD rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes animals across the state, caring for over 52,000 animals every year. It is the only charitable body responsible for investigating and prosecuting cruelty cases within Queensland, with the Inspectorate receiving over 17,800 reports of cruelty last year. RSPCA QLD cares for wildlife, domestic and farm animals, providing a safe space for animals with less than 3% government funding annually.

Why We Chose to Give Back
Sunday 21st JunAs we started planning our wedding, we found ourselves thinking a lot about what this celebration really means to us. Beyond the joy of the day, the people we love, and the memories we’ll create, we wanted it to reflect something deeper — something that truly matters to us.
For me, that has always been animals.
Over the years, my connection with animals has shaped a big part of who I am. During my university days, I spent time volunteering with the RSPCA, where I saw firsthand the incredible work they do — but also the reality of how many animals are in need of care, protection, and a second chance.
Today, that connection is even closer to home. Our two cats, who we absolutely adore, are both rescues. They’ve brought so much love, personality, and joy into our lives, and it’s hard to imagine our home without them. They’re a constant reminder of how much of a difference rescue and compassion can make.
So when we thought about how to celebrate this next chapter of our lives, it felt natural to include something that reflects that part of our story.
And with that in mind, we’ve chosen to support the RSPCA — an organisation that means a lot to us — in the hope that more animals can find the same love and safety that ours have.
