Miss Classic Diamond International Finalist Rosemary S

By Rosemary S

I am for doing things my own way and will be raising funds for one of my favourite charities, RSPCA QLD.

RSPCA QLD rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes animals across the state, caring for over 52,000 animals every year. It is the only charitable body responsible for investigating and prosecuting cruelty cases within Queensland, with the Inspectorate receiving over 17,800 reports of cruelty last year. RSPCA QLD care for wildlife, domestic and farm animals, providing a safe space for animals with less than 3% government funding annually.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of the animals of Queensland. Thank you!

My Journey as a Finalist in Miss Diamond International 2020

Thursday 23rd Jan

My name is Rosemary and I have been selected as a finalist in the Miss Classic Diamond International 2020. Miss Diamond International & Australia is a unique pageant celebrating the beauty and diversity of every individual.

Over the next several months I will be raising funds for the RSPCA Qld and will be collecting pet items for the lovely animals at the RSPCA Cairns Shelter as part of the RSPCA Qld Wish List.  The RSPCA Qld is the state's largest and leading animal welfare charity, by raising funds for the RSPCA Qld I will be improving the lives of all the animals.

Since October 2019 I have planned various fundraisers to raise much needed funds for the RSPCA Qld.

The following are my successful RSPCA Fundraisers so far:

Several Lucky Numbers Raffles (Prize $50 Cash for each board)

Christmas Money Tree Raffle.

Individual donations received from the local community via the RSPCA Qld donation box.

Just over $600 was raised in 2019 from October to December.

Thank you to my Family and Friends who have also made donations to the RSPCA Qld.

Today is the 23rd January 2020 and I am currently running two raffles to win a variety of prizes including a Gyrocoptor Scenic Flight, kindly donated by Jaques Coffee Plantation Mareeba.

In February I will hold a Bake Sale.

During the month of January and early February I raised $166.20 from a three prize Raffle Fundraiser.

On Saturday 8th February I had a Bake Sale Fundraiser at Piccones Supa IGA Manoora.  A lot of time and many months of planning went into the Fundraiser and I am happy to say it was a great success.  I raised $320 from the Bake Sale and $52 from the RSPCA donation box.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Raffle Fundraiser and Bake Sale Fundraiser.

I look forward to sharing more updates with you all soon.
