Your containers can help save lives

RSPCA Queensland is registered with the Containers for Change program. When you recycle certain containers through this program, you receive a 10-cent refund for each container. You can choose to direct this refund to RSPCA Qld!

You can collect containers at school, take them to a Containers for Change Depot and donate the refund to RSPCA Qld using our unique member number: C1O242545
The refund will automatically be deposited into RSPCA's bank account.

Just think about all of the containers at your school - like the poppers in lunchboxes, flavoured milk bottles from the tuckshop, soft drink cans. By recycling these, you can make a real difference for vulnerable animals, all while helping to protect the environment.

Most beverage containers made of aluminium, glass, plastic, steel, and liquid paperboard, between 150ml and 3L are eligible for the 10-cent refund.

Since RSPCA Qld joined the program, an incredible 125,085 containers have been saved from going to landfill, with $12,508 raised to help animals in need!

Is your school ready to become a recycling hero helping animals and the environment?

At RSPCA QLD's Brisbane campus in Wacol, the whole team have been pulling together to keep containers out of landfill - while raising money for some of the most vulnerable animals in our care.

Can your school join us as a Containers for Change hero to help make Queensland a better place?

Collecting all the containers which come into the playground each day, depositing containers weekly or fortnightly at your local Containers for Change Depot, and selecting RSPCA QLD to receive the funds your school has raised make a fantastic student-led project.

Students will become superstars in environmental awareness, charitable work and project coordination - and can track how much they have raised throughout the year to share their great work for RSPCA QLD with the whole school community.
